Thomas Born May 22, 1978 in Saginaw, MI. Thomas grew up in Saginaw. After a few years of community college he moved to Southfield, MI to attend Lawrence Technological University. There, he obtained is undergraduate degree in Architecture. Thomas enjoys all things design including photography, graphics and architecture. From a very young age, Thomas has enjoyed creating things. He even lead the local arts academy in scenic design and construction. Thomas has very interested in Green Architecture and green living. Although he won’t admit it, he also enjoys Grey’s Anatomy, Law and Order, and CSI Take a look at some of the photos Thomas has taken over the years. (Link) |

Tiana Born December 22, 1980 in Royal Oak, MI Check out Tiana's blog - Lotus in Bloom Tiana grew up in Southfield, MI. After graduation, she went on to Michigan State University where she obtained her undergraduate degree in Family Community Services with a specialization in Early Childhood Education. She now works for a fantastic family with two little girls, age three and six. Tiana enjoys reading, scrapbooking, Grey’s Anatomy, Law and Order, and CSI. Her favorite pass time is roaming the city with Thomas and his camera, although there hasn’t been much time for that lately. She also is a great lover of Dance. She danced from the age of three until her senior year of High School. As soon as she can get some time she plans to start taking some classes in Jazz and Ballet. Tiana’s latest challenge is deciding when to go to graduate school and what for. She will either go into Law or Psychiatry. Any advice is greatly appreciated. |

Us During Thomas’ first year at Lawrence Tech and Tiana’s senior year at Southfield-Lathrup High School, Starbucks Coffee Company opened a store at 12 mile and telegraph in Southfield, MI. Thomas and Tiana both became employees. They became friends and watched each other date other people for a couple of years. During this time they both wondered if the other would ever see them as more than a friend. After a few years, they realized that they should be together. They started as a long distance relationship. Thomas was in Southfield, MI, finishing his undergraduate degree and Tiana was in East Lansing, MI completing hers. Once Tiana graduated from Michigan State she moved back to the Detroit area and they have been inseparable from then on. As a couple, they enjoy traveling, exploring any area with a camera, the beach at the end of the street, Thai Food, Giordano’s pizza, and cuddling up for a good movie night! They are big supporters of Barack Obama for President and are ashamed to know that they come from the same place as Kwame Kilpatrick. This summer will be their 8 th year together they got married on August 8 th 2008! |
